Cattlianthe Ivo Sekerka

Cattlianthe Ivo Sekerka

A cross between C. Mainau-Zauber and Ctt. Little Irene, this hybrid produces large, vibrant flowers with excellent form, blooming reliably multiple times per year.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light with 30-50% shade cloth recommended. Avoid direct midday sun which can scorch leaves.
  • Temperature: Warm grower. Daytime 70-85°F (21-29°C), nighttime 60-65°F (16-18°C). Tolerates brief temperature fluctuations but thrives with consistent warmth.
  • Humidity: 50-70% humidity. Use humidity trays, room humidifiers, or group plants together. Ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Water when potting medium approaches dryness, typically every 5-7 days. Mounted plants require more frequent watering; reduce frequency slightly in winter.

Additional Notes

A complex hybrid combining the best traits of Cattleya and related genera. Grows well in medium bark mix with perlite or mounted on cork bark with sphagnum moss cushion.
