Dendrobium Ecuagenera

Dendrobium Ecuagenera

A floriferous hybrid of Den. parvulum × Den. petiolatum, two compact New Guinea species known for their prolific blooming habit. It produces dense, tight clusters of tubular flowers with pointed lanceolate sepals and a contrasting labellum, emerging directly along the short stems and covering the entire plant in a spectacular floral display remarkable for its miniature size.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 30–50% shade cloth; tolerates some morning sun, which intensifies bloom production on this compact grower.
  • Temperature: 50–70°F (10–21°C); a cool to intermediate grower that requires stable, mild temperatures and excellent air circulation.
  • Humidity: 70–90%; very high humidity is essential, inherited from both New Guinea parents.
  • Watering: Keep the medium evenly moist; never allow to dry out completely, as the fine root system has limited water storage capacity.

Additional Notes

Offered as a well-established plant of approximately 5 cm, shipped bare root. Best grown mounted or in a very small pot with a fine, moisture-retentive mix and strong air movement. An Ecuagenera original selection prized for its exceptional cluster-flowering habit.
