Dieffenbachia Aurora

Dieffenbachia Aurora

A bold foliage cultivar with large, lance-shaped leaves displaying a dramatic mosaic of deep green and bright cream-yellow variegation across the entire blade. It grows with an upright, cane-forming habit that makes it an immediate statement plant for bright indoor spaces.

  • Light: Bright indirect light; tolerates lower light but variegation is most vivid with good indirect brightness. Avoid direct sun, which scorches the pale leaf sections.
  • Temperature: 65–85°F (18–29°C); a warm tropical grower that dislikes cold drafts and temperatures below 60°F (15°C).
  • Humidity: 50–70%; benefits from moderate to high humidity for lush, healthy foliage and reduced tip browning.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the top 1–2 inches of the mix to dry between waterings; never allow roots to sit in standing water.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining potting mix with added perlite. Note that all parts of Dieffenbachia are toxic if ingested and the sap can cause skin irritation — handle with gloves. Shipped as a well-established plant; pot promptly upon arrival in a well-draining mix and place in a bright, warm spot.
