Lepanthes narcissus

Lepanthes narcissus

A gem-like miniature species from the cloud forests of Ecuador, prized for its proportionally large, fleshy iridescent leaves and successive tiny flowers produced along a slender, multi-flowered rachis at the leaf axil. The blooms feature rounded, translucent lateral sepals forming a neat dome, with a boldly marked bilobed labellum and well-defined petals at the center.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun to preserve the iridescent leaf surface.
  • Temperature: 50–68°F (10–20°C); a cool grower with a minimum tolerance around 45°F (7°C).
  • Humidity: 80–90%; maintain consistently high humidity with good air circulation to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Keep roots evenly moist at all times; water frequently and avoid any prolonged dry periods.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork bark or in a small pot with fine sphagnum moss. Ships bare root, well-established.
